Illinois
Archaeological Survey
is the organization that sponsors Awareness month.
Besides the IAS other organizations also promote Awareness Month with programs
and assistance. The
Illinois Association for Advancement of Archaeology
is one of these
organizations .
The
Illinois
State Museum
provides a lot of support for the IAS and the Awareness Month
Committee. The Illinois Historic Preservation Agency, Illinois Department of
Transportation, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and Park Service also
contribute and support archaeology within the state.
