How do I contact committee members?You may contact committee members via email. Each committee member is listed below:
Back to TopWhere ?Events for the month of September are sponsored throughout the State of Illinois. Anyone wishing to sponsor an event may visit the calendar section of this webpage, click on events and enter the information on the form that pops up. The webmaster will post the event on the page within a week (ie the event will not automatically be posted). Alternatively, a venue may contact the webmaster or anyone on the committee and we will arrange for an archaeologist to sponsor an event at your venue. A great publication is available to the public who wish to visit archaeological sites throughout Illinois. The publication is called Places of the Past (POP), Illinois Archaeological Sites and Exhibits. The publication contains brief summaries of archaeological sites and exhibits open to the public, keyed to a map of Illinois indicating the general location of the site or exhibit. POP is a publication of the Illinois Association for Advancement of Archaeology. You may read more about that organization at http://www.museum.state.il.us/iaaa. The publication is free and is available through the editor, Alice Berkson. Feel free to list an event that you may be sponsoring or alternatively contact the committee to arrange for an archaeologist to give a talk, identify artifacts, give a tour, or develop a display for the month.
